My passion for helping vulnerable children began in Brazil during my gap year. Spending three months there, I saw firsthand the needs and felt the sadness of children missing out on the life experiences they deserve. Their inner sparkle despite their circumstances was humbling.

As a parent myself, I understand the daily challenges of raising a child and find great value standing with others on this journey. Supporting families and children, especially those facing significant hurdles, is a cause close to my heart.

My adventure into the world of work started as a whole class and nurture group teacher. Following my play therapy training I supported staff, parents, and volunteers in therapeutic work with children as a School Project Manager for Place2Be. I love being a clinical supervisor and found huge value as a course director for the Academy of Play and Child Psychotherapy (APAC), where I taught and trained therapists. I love learning and hold a BA Hons in English Literature and Drama, a PGCE, and an MA in Play Therapy. Additionally, I have just embarked on the DDP practicum and have been a personal trainer specialising in physical and mental health for expectant and new mothers. I remain committed to ongoing professional development and regularly look forward to training programmes and conferences that deepen my therapeutic knowledge and ensure my practice continues to grow alongside the needs of the families I support.

Growing up in a family that fostered, I witnessed firsthand the profound dedication and commitment that caring adults bring to a child's life. These relationships are essential, and understanding how to support families in their growth and development has always been central to my journey.

Throughout my career as a social worker and independent reviewing officer, I’ve seen how a child’s story impacts everyone involved, both personally and professionally. These narratives resonate deeply with us. To improve my  ability to support children in healing and thriving, I pursued therapeutic training. In England, I helped establish an emotional health and well-being service for care-experienced children and care leavers, focusing on helping adults understand and respond to children's emotional, relational needs and trauma.

I am committed to continuous learning and skill enhancement to support families better. I hold a BSc in Psychology, an MA in Social Work, and a postgraduate diploma in Play Therapy. I’ve completed Theraplay Level 1 training, and I am currently on the Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) practicum. Additionally, I specialise in supporting adopters, foster and kinship parents through professional development and assessments.

I look forward to continuing my journey with further continuing professional development in therapeutic life story work, deepening my expertise in relationship, attachment, and trauma-informed assessments.
